So this weekend was a busy busy weekend! Saturday and Sunday Brent and I began our days at J Black's for a "casting call" for our business, Eye Caddie (website still under testing and construction). J Black's has recently started doing brunch on Saturdays, from 10am-2pm, for home UT games and OU weekend and on Sundays, from 11am-2pm, during the NFL football season. Ok, so I know I am generally biased since Brent is an investor at J Black's but I think because of that I am actually more critical of the service and food. That being said my breakfast was truly awesome!
I loved my migas so much that I ordered them both days! The flavors were amazing. I loved the way they grilled the flour tortilla and the corn tortillas in the migas themselves were a perfect combo of crispy and slightly chewy. The tomatillo sauce was delightful and just a little spicy. I honestly can't say enough good about this meal; it was perfect both times. Of course, I wasn't really surprised seeing as I've known the chef, Josie Paredes, from when I worked at Eddie V's. She definitely knows what she is doing in the kitchen!
For home games J Black's also has a bus that goes from the bar to the tailgates and the game! I haven't ridden on it but have heard it's super cool. I took a few pictures so you could get the idea. It's a great way to avoid all the hassle of parking down by the tailgates and you get brought right back to J Black's to finish the night. Great idea you guys.
