Friday night we went out for an early dinner at Home Slice Pizza. This is one of my favorite pizza places in town. The crust is thin, the sauce is good, and the ingredients are fresh. In my opinion they also have one of the best salads in town... their greek salad rocks. I guess I'm kind of on a salad kick lately but I need to attempt to start offsetting some of the holiday eating that I know is on the horizon. One suggestion I might make is not to go at 5:30 for dinner. I like kids, really, but tonight somehow Brent and I were surrounded, literally. We were at this tiny table for two in the back section of the restaurant which is surrounded by booths. We were in the middle of a very long L shaped kid producing crew. We counted 12-14 kids, below 5, surrounding us. Some of them were well behaved while others made me realize that some people don't know how to tame their kids appropriately for a night out. I realized quickly that they didn't have the best examples as the three dads treated our little section like a bar. They were standing and talking, with their butts caressing our newly delivered pizza. One guy apologized but then proceeded to stay in the same place; clearly he wasn't truly sorry. Frustration to the max.
The food was still delicious we just ate a little more quickly than normal.
