Closet space, how sweet the sound!

Mmmm, my side of the new wardrobe
So a few people have really wanted to see the new addition to our family. A wardrobe. A fabulous, huge, makes-me-feel-like-a princess closet expansion! I had never been to IKEA before and needless to say, before this project was over we had gone three times and spent approximately 8 hours in this place. If you ever need to go to the store in Austin, I can talk you through all the short cuts to get through departments, seriously.
We went on a Saturday morning at 10am. Purchased the behemoth and got it set for the delivery truck for the evening of the same day. Then, of course, we had to dive back in to the store to get all the little extras like lighting and scarf holders and containers for organizing. It was like Disney Land!  We frantically rushed home, leaving the store at 4:30pm to try to race the delivery truck back and hopefully beat it.

Under my hanging clothes is a wonderful drawer. I'm still playing with it but it holds my purses, for now. We found it for $9.99 in the 'as is' section. Sa-weet!

You all know I love shoes! Love, love, love the new pull out racks! Now I just need some lights that give you that 'shining down from heaven look' to make it complete. Hmmm, and maybe a sensored sound machine that goes 'Ahhhhh'. Yeah.
The seemingly simple 16 boxes were delivered to our home at approximately 5:30 pm. Brent and I pulled our first all nighter together and did not complete the project until 1pm on Sunday afternoon. Was it worth it? I don't know, you tell me.

Brent's perfectly displayed dress shirts, shoes and suits. His tie organizer is my favorite part and looks beautiful with his fashionably cool new ties.

Okay, so I stopped fighting with the picture. Just turn your head left and sidways and that's what it lookes like with the doors shut and lights on.

Thanks! I'm not sure I will ever fall out of love with it. It's been a few weeks now and it still makes my heart pitter patter.
