This weekend was the second to last UT home game of the season and still we have yet to tailgate. This weekend it was my choice not to go and peruse through all the all-out-Texas-fans before the game because I really just need a lazy, slow Saturday morning. Everything was on track until we got a call from one of our friends saying he was at J. Black's to watch the game. Now if anything can pull me out of my pj's faster than a flash it's
A) Hanging with one of my favorite peeps before he's had one too many on a Friday night and
B) The migas at J. Black's!

Of course the game was great and it is always nice to have another win on the scorecard for the Longhorns football team, but admittedly I did a little more talking with my friends than watching... it happens.
Mark my words though, for the next and last UT home game, I will be tailgating. I go to the tailgates more for the sites than for imbibing and I'm certain that once we head down there I'll be sorry I missed out all season.

After the game we headed home and had an unusually lazy Saturday. It was nice. After some inspiration from my friend V, I decided to roast some potatoes and carrots from my overabundance of Greenling produce in my fridge. I even used some kale I had frozen a year prior! Maybe that's not a big deal to some people but I'm just learning how to freeze and prep my produce so I don't waste so much. I'm becoming such a married person and I'm actually okay with it since I can justify it with being frugal and green; it's all in positioning people.
* I was going to use Gilbert Tuhabonye as a reference in this article in regards to how fast I got ready for J Black's. I decided not to after reading, once again, about his amazing story and thought it would be insensitive. I still wanted to put him in the post though as inspiration to all you marathoners training for the ATT race in February. I'm pretty sure he's the guy who beat me when I ran the half marathon. As I was nearing the finish line a few dudes crossed the finished just before me completing their full marathon. That was just crazy, you know, because I'm so fast and all.
