SHEEP! ShEeP! Sheeeep! SHeeP! I love you! I'm not sure what it says about me but one of my fave, fave, favorite things about New Zealand was the multitudes of seemingly happy sheep grazing in giant fields of green green grass! My very scientific classifications of sheep (in photo) These are the classifications of sheep I sadly did not capture in photo:
Sheep are amazing but we mustn't forget the beauty of the Almighty Alpaca These four alpacas were fluffy, and puffy, and very hard to walk away from. They were wonderful! The Fascinating Kiwi!
Other Cool Critters Seal Colony Near Kaikoura Giant Squid This is the only specimen in the world of a giant squid. These were long believed to be a myth like the Loch Ness Monster. We saw this at the Te Papa museum in Wellington (a really cool free museum).

These include animals from both Kenya and Tanzania and spans several different animal reserves. Will post a more comprehensive set of photos from each soon!
One of the happiest and cutest dogs I've ever met. She was a great companion during our week stay in Johannesburg and definitely one of the wildest animals in all of Africa! Ha!
This. Cat. Was. Amazing! These dogs looked fierce! I knew I had better behave at this soccer match but I'm pretty sure that cat could have taken them all.
Sibenik brought me great joy with it's lovely little sunning turtle and prowling kitty Krka's critters also didn't disappoint and included the duck with no luck Lastly, a dog in Hvar just sittin' and waitin' for his family to make it up the long steps
I rarely get Brent interacting with big birds so this series is a gem! My parents would be so proud. Even though he still looks scared, he's trying! Let's break this down... I think it is safe to say his fear of big birds is still in full effect. On that point I will say... you didn't see me feeding those birds!
In all seriousness though, the picture below was one of my favorites of the Charles Bridge. I generally have a good eye for small creatures and this one scurried across our path. I wouldn't necessarily want to hold him but he sure is a cutie from a distance!
Over in Europe everyone has these lovely weiner-type dogs. They come in all kinds of colors and breeds and I just adore them! We happened upon a lovely parade with these magnificent horses pulling some of the old carriages coming through town.

Animals are so fun to watch and it's always a pleasant surprise when I get to see a wild anything meander across our path. |
