There aren't a lot of great pictures, I mostly thought this would just give you a feel for the show. The stage was really cool and there were so many people there! There are much better pictures on the U2 website here.
Before the show: the 'space ship' stage.
Those beams of light are shinging on the band members as they come out.
Bono, what an amazing voice still belting it out at 50 something.
The huge LCD screens panned down and created a huge screen. Surprising and awesome. I love that it added to the space ship effect looking like it was going to take off!
Aung San Suu Kyi, read more below.
One of the encores, Bono came out in a jacket lined with laser pointers and he sang and swung from the red hanging mircrophone.
Aung San Suu Kyi, was elected Prime Minister of Burma in 1990 but the military refused to turn over power to her. She has since been under house arrest. During her arrest, she was awarded the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in 1990, and the Nobel Peace Prize the year after. It's a pretty amazing story. You can view a link to the way that U2 is bringing awareness to the situation here.
Muse
Muse opened for U2 and I'm a big fan of theirs. They put on a great show at ACL a few years ago, which up until this concert was my best of all time. They put on a good show this time but U2 just ran away with the prize.
