The time I met a fellow TacoDeli lover while on a boat in the Great Barrier Reef!

I knew it was going to be a highlight of my trip when I happened to meet Chris.... hailing from Austin, TX! He too is a fervent TacoDeli lover and we were about to spend 5 days on a boat in the vast and beautiful Great Barrier Reef. We bonded over taco-talk every morning and afternoon (traditional TacoDeli time). We had profound and deep conversations about our great love for Dona Sauce and the brilliant breakfast tacos that roll out of that TD kitchen. Oh yeah.. and the diving in GBF is pretty magnificent too.

Nora, myself, and Chris! Nora is from NYC but promises to eat at TacoDeli next time she's in the ATX!

I knew without a doubt that Chris and I will be friends forever when he landed back in Austin and sent me this photo immediately!

And I quote, "I'm now back in Austin and made sure my first (and second) breakfast was at Taco Deli! "I swear when I saw this photo I could almost smell the tacos inside! (Photo courtesy of Chris Guerin.)

Goin on a gorilla hunt is serious business! All we ate was a yogurt and some muesli and it wasn't enough for our 8 mile hike. No, no, no. What we really needed was an Otto and a papas, egg, and cheese to help us through the morning!

About 2.5 hours into our hike we were beginning to lose hope. The gorillas may not be found but then at last, we were in the presence of greatness!

THAT is a SILVER BACK GORILLA!! Woot!

I'm pretty sure I heard this darling say, "What the....that crazy haired lady didn't bring me any Taco Deli tacos?!?! Dammit. Well I'm just sad and hungry now. Now I gotta eat more of these stupid leaves."

This was the end of a very successful hot air balloon ride! It was a perfect morning with a gorgeous view.. but alas, no Taco Deli in sight.

Just beautiful watching the animals from above in the Maasai Mara National Reserve but.... no Taco Deli to be found.

Since I searched and searched all day long and never found any tacos, I settled for a Tusker beer instead. Taco Deli and Tusker beer, why yes, please!

I am Austin proud and love my city. One of the best parts of the ATX is the great food. f you ever visit then I MUST recommend you visit Taco Deli. It is, hands down, my favorite place to eat. The breakfast tacos are ridiculous and if you don't get the papas on your taco then your just crazy insane. I crave their beautiful green and spicy Dona sauce. My biggest food insecurity is leaving Austin, coming home years later, and GASP Taco Deli isn't there (fyi this is a very unrealistic fear as there are always lines out the door.)

I feel it is my personal duty to spread the word around the world about Taco Deli's amazingness and to encourage consumption of their tasty treats! And to be clear.....No, I'm not a paid sponsor of Taco Deli I just love them big time!
