Flights
There are so many different websites that offer discounted airlines and you should check out several before booking. Different websites seem to be better at different times or with different destinations so never just look at one. The magic time frame is to book about 47 days before departure. I won't list all sites here but will focus on a few of the sites we use most.
Another piece of advice, just because you have airline miles does not always mean that's the best way to go! There was one specific time when it was more expensive to use our American Airlines miles than to book with a smaller carrier. It was strange but true. So even if you are booking with miles double check a few websites first! You might be able to save them for a later trip.

- Sky Scanner
- Google Flights: I particularly like how you can view the calendar and it will show the prices for each day of the month!
- Kayak
- WOW Airlines: This is the only individual airline I'm listing right now because it doesn't show up on any of the other aggregate searches such as Kayak, Hotwire, etc. They have recently (2015) expanded to flights in the U.S. and offer amazing deals to get to Iceland.
