The LiveStrong stage where I anticipated the arrival of my long lost love Dave Mathews.
Beautiful scene of the masses of people at ACL, downtown, and a full moon.
These boots are sported by Nicole. She said she got them at Nashville Cowboy. I thought they were really awesome!
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
My second favorite band of the weekend. Karen O, the lead singer, reminded me in her stage presence and fashion to be how I want to be. She's definitely unique and sometimes I feel I forget to be my own person as we all want to "fit in". Sometimes being different works and sometimes it doesn't, but don't be afraid to try. It's a good reminder for all of us. I always enjoy their music and I hope to get to see them again sometime in a more intimate setting.
My excellent view of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs
And another 'better' pic of the lead singer of Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Fueling up for our second day at Austin Java
If you live downtown I feel Austin Java is a staple. They have great breakfast that they serve all day. They used to be open for dinner but unfortunately close earlier now. That part is a bummer but when we make it during the day I always enjoy their pancakes and migas!
Brent and I split the blueberry pancake. Ginormous.
Migas
I think this was Airborn Toxic Event.
Floggin Molly, my favorite show from the weekend. I tried to get the image of the rain pouring down but it didn't come out so well.
Brent very happy and proud about what I am about to do.
I participated in the Rockin Recycle program at ACL. If you collected a whole bag of cans and plastics you got a t-shirt. I
Alice was wearing these cutsie stripped boots and Brook was sporting these neurtal boots that looked great with her jeans!
Loving my dry, t-shirt that I got for recycling. Sa-weet!
Kim got these great galoshes at Academy for 20 bucks. Nice deal
Fellow downtown dweller Jessica was sporting these Sperry Top-siders that she got from Nordstrom recently. I really loved the pairing with the perfectly matched tights!
I belive this was Mos Def.
Trying to think of anything but using the port-a-pottie I snapped a shot of Meg's bright boots and Elizabeth's subtle shoes for a nice distraction.
Dave Mathews
Well, I've been a fan of Dave Mathews for quite some time now and I was really looking forward to his show. Maybe it was the long day and the rain or the massive amounts of people that crowded around but I was disappointed. I wish we had seen Ghostland Observatory instead. I'll get a chance to see them another time, since they are a local band, I hope.
Bad pic of Dave Mathews
The real deal, that little spec IS Dave Mathews himself.
The sludge I wish I didn't have evidence of, gross.
