Brent and I did another scramble the other night to figure out where we were going to eat and thankfully we decided on Blue Dahlia Bistro! I love love love their egg salad sandwich but the last few times we've gone I have really forced myself to try other things. This time we made it for their Happy Hour, which if memory serves me correctly is from 4-6 every day. We got this beautiful plate of hummus and tabouli with their fresh made breads, kalamata olives, and sun dried tomatoes for the HH price of $6. Not bad! Brent got the roast beef with capers and dijon creme fraiche tartine, aka open faced sandwich to me. Anyways, he said it was good but I think we both love the egg salad the mostest. I also got the soup of the day which was a tomato, white bean and spinach. It was fresh and lovely and I would definitely order it again.
I also love their dining room. You can choose where you sit as you walk in and they have these big long tables to dine at as well. I enjoy sitting at the big tables with the chance of another group sitting next to us; eavesdropping can be fun sometimes but alas we weren't that lucky tonight! It's a lovely tiny place with great outdoor seating, fresh foods, and friendly staff. I love the east side eateries and this has become one of my new favorites!
