Couldn't leave without a lucky charm of course!
You must check out the chewing gum art on Millennium Bridge! See story here on how it got started. He paints on the gum that is stuck to the bridge! (don't think this is the original guy, several people paint on it now)   There was a lot more cool graffiti in Istanbul but somehow this is the only pic I snapped.  Naples may be the most graffiti'd place I've ever been. Most of it is just destructive and ugly. I hate it. I did find a few pieces I did like.  I don't like condoning smoking but I loved the colors in this image. Really beautiful.   Kinda creepy when you're going to head down that little alley.   This one was in honor of our new friend, Luigi! We met him at one of the bars and he was simply hilarious. He didn't really speak engish, and we didn't speak italian, but over a week we still had fun interacting with one another! We stayed in an um, edgy, neighborhood. There was lots of graffiti to be seen but not all of it was what I considered desirable. However there were a few I was able to capture here that I thought were interesting. .   I was quite surprised at how little graffiti I found in Paris. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right places or I was too busy falling in love with the city to notice the street art.  |
