Tonight we went to Beyond Tradition in the 2nd Street shopping district to view a new men's jewelry line by Catherine Nicole. I had the opportunity to speak with Catherine a bit and she was so nice. I really loved her line of men's jewelry with vibrant colors and yet a still distinctly masculine look. My only wish was that she had had some rings but apparently that is something she is working on for the future! She is a local artist and Beyond Tradition is the best place to check out the most comprehensive representation of her work. You can also see more pictures of her collection from the night here, that I took, as well as other items in the store.

First of all I want to say how truly sad I am that I missed my very good friend's baby shower today. My heart longed to be there but due to our bout with flu I didn't want to risk infecting a pregnant woman since they are in the "high risk" category. For up to date information on the flu go to: TexasFlu.org. Buffalo ExchangeSo, after a restful day on the couch Brent and I decided to venture to Buffalo Exchange for some quick costume shopping. We knew exactly what we were looking for and thankfully we found it! I highly recommend this great store as they have lots of options for Halloween costumes, particularly since they have expanded the store. Also, it's oh-so-green to buy a used costume or used clothes so it pads your pocket book and either intentionally or unintentionally helps your green cause. Busy weekend: Football season has most definitely begun and my mom was in town. Thankfully, I was able to pack in all the fun to be had.
It started Saturday morning with my mom and several of her friends all joining at our house, to begin our excursion to Fredericksburg. I forget how close the quaint little town is and though it isn't somewhere I would frequent often there are some cute little shops there to go with all the ladies. As I love to browse, this is definitely a place for that! |
