So this was a big day for me (sigh), I got my first injections of Botox from eOs Dermatology and Med Spa today. I wasn't quite sure how to feel about doing this except for feeling very, very nervous. Did I say very? I felt myself turn green as I sat in the chair, seriously, but Dr. Rasmussen put me right at ease. I guess this act means my vanity is taking hold and I'm moderately okay with that. I mean, people do all kinds of things to make themselves feel better like diets, buy clothes or shoes, spend money, eat a comforting meal... so what's so bad about injecting botulinum toxin in your face? Okay, so I'm a little nervous about putting a paralyzing agent in my face but I've done things that were equally worse. I'm no angel (sorry mom and dad) and I've tried a few drugs, drank too much alcohol, and driven recklessly.. not on my new motorcycle of course! Anyways, my point is that even though this stuff is regulated in a lab by the CDC doesn't mean it's the worst thing you can do to your body, at least that's what I'm going to tell myself and keep my fingers crossed that nothing bad happens. I can also promise this won't be the last cosmetic procedure I have done in my life. Let's just hope my first perma-wrinkle gets ironed out with this first round. Speaking of the first round.. eOs offers a cool deal to first timers at only $8.50/unit which normally goes for $10/unit. Now, don't go asking how many units I got, a lady never tells. The staff was super nice and the place had convenient parking and a really modern and comfortable layout. It was so comfortable that I'm heading back on Wednesday for a special event they are holding! Check out details and RSVP on their website. (I swear they didn't pay me for this promo). Anyways, it's a cute "Sex and The City 2" themed night and they are having drawings, consultations, drinks, and a best shoe contest. Which pair to wear? Eeek, the pressure. You know I'm gonna post some of those beautiful shoes on my site! It should be fun. After my injections I was hungry! Brent and I headed over to Buenos Aires Cafe for a bite to eat and to get my mind off of not rubbing my forehead. Since we are trying to be "good" we split a salad, dinner, and desert. Good choice as I was totally full. The gnocchi was awesome! Just as good as the first time I had it when I blogged about it here.
So after splitting dinner we were supposed to split a dessert, but we couldn't decide on one so we just picked both. Excellent choice! The creme brulee had this mild spicy afterburn and the quatros leches was the perfect finish. Uber delicious and I'll be back for more! This will be a meal I will crave from beginning to what was left as I scraped off the sauces from the quatros leches plate. Mmmm.

Laura, do you even need botox? I really don't think so, but I hope it turned out well for you!

Need? Nobody really needs it but it did get rid of my perma-wrinkle and I'm definitely pleased with the results!
