Our last day in Dallas ended like it began, with food and more food. We were treated to a beautiful and delicious brunch at Al Biernats. Al Biernats is a steak and seafood restaurant that also has a fabulous brunch on the weekends. We arrived before it was too very crowded and it was a beautiful place. The one thing I found interesting was the music. I'm pretty sure I heard some Muse and Black Eyed Peas, which I love but it seemed a little unfitting for some of the other guests that were a little more, um, proper and Dallas-y but they most have known I was coming because it made me feel right at home. Our table was pleasantly surprised with a treat from the kitchen before our breakfast was served. They brought out a beautiful tasting of fresh berries, crunchy yogurt and a lightly tart raspberry yogurt. Oh it was heavenly. I almost wished I had ordered it for my meal.... until the food arrived. The french toast was awesome. (Can you tell by all my descriptions that I kinda liked this place?) I ordered a la carte and got scrambled eggs and cheese grits. I always love a place that makes real grits and all the food was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, I'm afraid we'll never go back again because there are simply too many restaurants to try but I'm really going to push for this one again! In the evening we went to Victor Tango's. Apparently this is the place to be and it was packed! We tried to go a bit early so we could snag a table for dinner and were "forced" to go to the bar and have a drink while we waited. Needless to say I think we were all good with that. Victor Tango's is like a tapas/family style food setting. So we all ordered a bunch of food. I swear I heard a fighting bell go "ding ding" as our first round began. There was so much food to taste and I loved that some of their meat was local so I could fully engage in the meal. I'm not going to write a breakdown of what I thought of everything but it was all good. Here's a breakdown of my top three items in order of love: Pork Belly (omg, crazy good), Tempura Green Beans, and Braised Brussel Sprouts.
